The crowd is completely 'under control'
Special Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar, who is overseeing crowd management arrangements, said, "The only change in the arrangement from yesterday and today is that we have implemented a better queuing system for the devotees coming for darshan.
"We have deployed dedicated channels to ensure smooth entry and exit in different queues. The situation is now completely conducive and under control."
Principal Secretary of the Home Department, Sanjay Prasad, said, "You can see yourself, there are no long queues anywhere." People had arrived even before 7 'o' clock this morning. Everyone was standing comfortably in the queue. Since then, his darshan has been going on continuously.
The Chief Minister said that after assessing how many devotees are coming from which direction, necessary arrangements should be made accordingly. He said that given the current situation, it would be better if VIPs and other dignitaries informed the local administration, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, or the state government a week before planning to visit Ayodhya.
The Chief Minister said that there should be arrangements for Transport Corporation buses to take the devotees who have done darshan and worship to their destination. The operation of additional buses to Ayodhya from different cities should be postponed for now. He said that after the darshan, arrangements should be made to take the devotees to their destination by placing buses on the route where the number of devotees is greater.
He said that by identifying such routes, efforts should be made to operate the trains by coordinating with the Railways as per requirements, and the transport minister himself should ensure this arrangement. The Chief Minister said that devotees are coming to Ayodhya from all over the country, which is also natural.
He believed that the government must arrange for the safety, convenience, and easy darshan of every devotee. Pointing out the need for better coordination between the local administration and the temple trust in managing the crowd of devotees, the Chief Minister said that under crowd management, on Ram Path, Bhakti Path, Dharam Path, and Janmabhoomi Path, wherever the devotees are, they should stand in queues, the crowd will be controlled. If it doesn't happen, the queue will continue.
Instructions given to security personnel
Security personnel have given special attention to the elderly, children, and women. The CM said that while respecting the sentiments of the visitors, Ram Bhajan should be played in a low voice on the main roads, and the behaviour of the police personnel deployed for security should also be dignified. He said that in the festive atmosphere, some unruly elements may try to spoil the atmosphere; hence, it should be ensured that no one's religious sentiments are insulted by any song-music/sloganeering or any other act. He said that if anyone is found doing this, then the strictest action should be taken against them.
