Delhi's Weather forecast
In Delhi, the maximum temperature recorded on May 22 stood at 43.4 degrees Celsius. Forecasts predict a gradual rise, with temperatures expected to soar to 44 degrees on May 23, 45 degrees on May 24, and a scorching 46 degrees Celsius from May 25 to May 28. Nighttime offers little respite, with minimum temperatures hovering between 30 to 31 degrees.
Weather scientist's insight
Weather scientists attribute the recent dip in temperatures to easterly winds. These winds, typically cooler due to the lower temperatures in the eastern regions of the country, offered temporary relief. However, experts caution that this respite will be short-lived as temperatures are anticipated to surge again.
