Amid several attempts to sabotage passenger trains, several railway stations in Rajasthan received a bomb threat. A written letter claimed that several railway stations in the state could be attacked by the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed.

An unknown person handed over the letter to the Hanumangarh Junction official. The letter warned of bombing at several stations including Jaipur, Kota, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner and Bundi.

Following the threat, local police and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel along with the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF)  thoroughly searched the station but found no suspicious items.

Pyarelal Meena, Additional Superintendent of Police (Hanumangarh, Rajasthan), also reached the spot to oversee security arrangements.

A case has been registered against the unknown individual at the GRP police station.
