Rajasthan Budget 2023 Highlights: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday presented the state budget on the theme of 'Bachat, Rahat, Badhat' for the financial year 2023-23. This was the last budget of the present government as the state is slated to go to assembly election later this year. For the first time, the state budget was shown live in all government and private colleges of the state.
Rajasthan Budget 2023 Highlights
- Under the Ujjwala scheme consumers will get LPG cylinder at Rs 500; 76 lahks to get the benefit
- 100 units per month of electricity to be provided free of charge to domestic consumers as compared to 50 units per month earlier.
- Free electricity to farmers consuming less than 2,000 units per month.
- Government to give electric free two-wheelers to girl students

- No new taxes announced in Rajasthan Budget
- Inflation relief package of Rs 19,000 crore in the state's Budget for 2023-24 to provide relief to the masses from rising prices. The package includes free food packets every month to poor families,
- Gehlot announced the enactment of the Gig Workers Welfare Act, the establishment of a board and a welfare fund of Rs 200 crore in his government's Budget for 2023-24.
- Old pension scheme for personnel of various boards, corporations announced. Benefits of the scheme will be granted to personnel of boards, corporations, academies and universities.
- No new taxes were announced in this year's budget.
- No multiple fees to be charged and one-time registration to appear in competitive exams
- Medical cover under the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance scheme has been increased to Rs 25 lakh per family per year from Rs 10 lakh
