Race 3 box office collection: Salman Khan is known for his releases on Eid festival and Race 3 was no different. Race 3 has been breaking some 2018 Bollywood records from the day it hit theatres. So, it has become the highest opener in 2018 by earning Rs 28.50 crore on the first day of its release. Despite the box office’s ups and downs, the movie went well enough and managed to cross the mark of Rs 160 crore - to be precise, it has earned Rs 161.04 cr latest data suggests. Worldwide collection of Race 3 has crossed the mark of Rs 270 crore.

Salman Khan recently thanked his fans for supporting Race 3 and making it a hit. “I thank every 1 who has gone to see #Race3 in the theaters n each n every 1 individually for watching race n glad that u have liked n appreciated every 1s effort that was put in the movie. God bless sukhi raho n keep watching means a lot,” tweeted Salman.

Starting with Rs 28.50 crore on the first day, followed by Rs 37 crore on the second day and an increase in Rs 0.50 crore on Sunday (Rs 37.50 crore), the movie went well for the first three days. Weekday’s collection of the movie was not so impressive but it managed to do well.

Race 3 is currently on the second position among highest grossing films after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavat’.

However, Race 3 is set to suffer a massive setback as Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju is supposed to hit the theatres and it is expected to blow all the other movies out there out of the water. Expectations are that it will earn as much as Rs 30 cr on day 1 itself. Sanju is based on the life of film star Sanjay Dutt. Notably, Ranbir Kapoor has not been able to generate a hit film for quite some time and needs a big booster shot to his career.
