Race 3 box office collection day 6: Salman Khan magic continues, film earns Rs 142.01 crore

Race 3 box office collection day 6: Salman Khan magic is still working and it can be seen in the box office collection, as his latest film has earned Rs 142.01 crore within just six days. Since there is no big Hindi film release this weekend, Race 3 appear to continue with its glorious run. Released during the Eid weekend, the film, opening at Rs 29.17 crore, has entered the 100 crore club in just 3 days of its release.

It is yet to been if the Salman Khan starrer will continue to work its magic during its second weekend. Sharing the latest box office figures, a source close to the film told Time of India, “Race 3 mints Rs 9.25 crore on Day 6, which was a working Wednesday. In just 6 days, the film has collected a total of Rs 142.01 crore, looking to cross Rs 150 crore within a week.”

Along with Salman Khan, the movie also features known actors like Boby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor and Saqib Saleem. Reflecting on the the movie's prospects in the coming weeks, film critic Sumit Kadel tweeted, "Dont understand y Salman fans demean other stars stardom. We agree Salman is a megastar but he is nt d only 1. #Race3 will do max 180-200 cr on 4600 screens on EID. Hrithik bang bang did 180 cr in a clash, SRK dilwale 150 cr in 2500 screens with a clash. Ajay G4 200 with a clash (sic)." Race 3 has crossed Baaghi2 (Rs 73.10 crore) and Raid (Rs 41.01 crore) in opening weekend collection. 

Talking about the film's success, Bobby Deol said, “I am very happy that people have appreciated my work and appreciated everyone’s work. We keep getting criticism. It matters when the film is really bad and if this was so bad, it wouldn’t have worked commercially.” He added, “My smile is not going away. I am very happy. People have given so much love to the film and accepted it wholeheartedly. Touchwood! I just want to keep doing more such films and I hope people keep liking my work.”

Notably, Race 3 is likely to have a sequel, but no official announcement has so far been made.
