Punjab Board Result 2018: Girls reportedly once again outperformed boys in the PSEB class 12 results. The pass percentage of girls is 78.25%, while the same for boys stands at 60.46%. In 2017, Amisha Arora of RS Model senior secondary school in Ludhiana, who scored 98.44 per cent, had obtained the top rank.
Punjab Board Result 2018: Confusion prevailed over the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class 12 results as the board deactivated the official link for checking the results on Monday afternoon. Earlier, the Punjab Board announced the Class 12 board results on its official website- pseb.ac.in. It may be noted that moments after declaring the results, the website link was deactivated. The board also changed the message of “Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination Provisional Result March 2018 NOW AVAILABLE” to “Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination Provisional Result March 2018 WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON”. Students took to social media to question this.
According to media reports, after Punjab Board Result 2018 was declared, Puja Joshi of Ludhiana topped the board, while Vivek Rajput, also from Ludhiana, came second and Jasnoor Kaur of Muktsar came third in the results declared today for class 12 students by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). Girls reportedly once again outperformed boys in the PSEB class 12 results. The pass percentage of girls is 78.25%, while the same for boys stands at 60.46%. The pass percentage for PSEB Class 12 Senior Secondary exam was stated to be at 68.42%, while pass percentage for open school was reported at 40.07%. Overall pass percentage stands at 65.97%. Last year, the lowest pass percentage was recorded in past three years for class 12 examination.
It may be noted that the Punjab Board Class 12 examination were held between February 28 and March 24. A total of 327,159 students took this year's examination. Students who appeared in the examination can check their Punjab Board Result 2018 in the following way:
A. They can visit the official website pseb.ac.in.
B. They should click on the results tab on the top bar
C. As the new page opens, click on Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination Provisional Result March 2018 NOW AVAILABLE or Click here
D. Enter your roll number or name and the Punjab board 10+2 result will be displayed
E. The students can download their result, and are advised to keep the copy of results.
