Notably, last season's breakthrough sensation Siddharth Desai was bought by Telugu Titans for a whopping Rs 1.45 crore, making him the most expensive player of this season while Nitin Tomar was retained by Puneri Paltan for Rs 1.20 crore. Rahul Chaudhari finally parted ways with Telugu Titans and joined Tamil Thalaivas for Rs 94 lakh to form a formidable raiding duo with his national captain Ajay Thakur. The other big grab of the day was 'The Beast' Sandeep Narwal who was sold to U Mumba for Rs 89 lakh.
Among the overseas stars, Iran's Abozar Mighani started a bidding war between Dabang Delhi and Bengal Warriors before Telugu Titans exercised their Final Bid Match (FBM) right to rope him in for Rs 75 lakh. His Iranian teammate Mohammad Nabibaksh was sold to Bengal Warriors for Rs 77.75 lakh, making him the costliest foreign recruit this season. The South Korean raider Jang Kun Lee who played for Patna Pirates for last six seasons, went to Patna Pirates to join Pardeep Narwal for Rs 40 lakh.
