Modi Independence Day Speech: HIGHLIGHTS - From decimating Pakistan to making big announcements, what all PM said

PM Narendra Modi Independence Day Speech HIGHLIGHTS: PM Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the nation from Red Fort. This was PM Modi's 6th Independence Day speech. Also, the speech was of great importance as it was the first I-Day speech of Modi 2.0. Heavy police deployments were in place in areas within a 3 km radius of the Red Fort.  Here is everything PM said in his address on 73rd Independence Day speech:-

- Times have changed, where people used to be content with only a train stop today they demand an airport; Where earlier they had to make do with only a road today they want to know if its 4 or 6 lane: PM Modi 

- PM Modi says, “PM Narendra Modi: India has so much to offer. I know people travel to different countries for holidays but can we think of visiting at least 15 tourist destinations in India before 2022, when we mark 75 years of freedom."

-PM Modi says, “Digital payment ko haan, nakad ko na' Can we make this our motto? Let us increase the use of digital payments all over the country."

-PM says, "Can we free India from single use plastic? Time for implementing this idea is now.Let a important step in this direction be made on 2nd October."

- PM Modi says there should be no pressure from the government, but when need there should also be no lack of government either; we ended 1 unnecessary law every day in the previous govt and repealed 60 laws in 10 weeks of current government.
