PM Modi to release first instalment to 1 lakh beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin on January 15
On the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, PM-JANMAN was launched for the socio-economic wellbeing of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in line with the Prime Minister's efforts towards the goal of Antyodaya to empower the last person at the last mile.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the first instalment to 1 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY - G) beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) recipients via video conference on January 15, 2024 at 12 noon. On this occasion, PM will also meet with PM-JANMAN beneficiaries.
On the occasion of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, PM-JANMAN was launched for the socio-economic wellbeing of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in line with the Prime Minister's efforts towards the goal of Antyodaya to empower the last person at the last mile.
PM-JANMAN, with a budget of approximately Rs 24,000 crore, focuses on 11 critical interventions through 9 ministries and aims to improve PVTG socioeconomic conditions by providing basic facilities such as safe housing, clean drinking water and sanitation, improved access to education, health, nutrition, electricity, road and telecom connectivity, and sustainable livelihood opportunities to PVTG households and habitations.
Union Minister R K Singh emphasises on schemes for the poor
Union Minister R K Singh while participating in Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Hyderabad on Saturday emphasised on various schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat PM Swanidhi Yojana, Jeevan Jyothy Bima Yojana and Mudra Yojana to highlight that the poor are very close to the heart of PM, which is why he has made provision for free food grains for them for five years.
He also urged people who had yet to take advantage of the government's programmes to do so. He went on to say that this is a fantastic opportunity for everyone to take advantage of the government's programmes and improve their lives.
The NDA government has strengthened the country, and it is on its way to becoming a superpower. Union Minister R K Singh said the Centre also responded appropriately, whether it was to Pakistan or China.
"We have made the country strong. Now our enemies have stopped carrying out terrorist attacks. We have given a befitting reply whether it is Pakistan or China," an official release quoted him as saying.
"Today, India is the fifth-largest power in the world. Our core philosophy is to make India strong. And, the second core belief is to bring the poor people out of poverty. Every needy person should have access to food, electricity and water," the Union Power and New & Renewable Energy Minister said.
Under the leadership of PM Modi, India is growing and becoming a superpower, he said.
