Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate it. More than 1600 delegates will participate in it on the first day. Amber Dubey, Joint Secretary, Aviation Ministry gave this information in a special conversation with Zee Business.
In this event, PM Modi will also fly a drone, said Joint Secretary. The special thing is that Narendra Modi will be the first Prime Minister in the world who will fly a professional drone at a public event. Apart from that startups, companies, industries, and state governments with many ministers of the central government will also participate in the drone festival, said Dubey.
The Aviation Minister said PM Modi will also release the prototype of the drone taxi. IIT Madras company e-Plane has made it. This is still a prototype. It can be certified by 2025. For this, there will be a trial with the army first. Drone taxi can knock in the Indian sky by 2028-29. The Prime Minister will also talk to drone manufacturers and farmers drone operators. Apart from this, he will also interact with new types of drone manufacturers and operating companies including Farming, Fertilizer Spray, Military, Security, Border, Monitoring, Weather, and Afforestation.
There has been a bumper response for Drone PLI. In the second window, more than 50 companies have shown interest with the results of 12 months. The turnover of these companies has exceeded 250%. This time more than 20 companies can qualify.
