PM Modi to inaugurate five new AIIMS institutes on February 25
These institutes, worth an estimated Rs 6,315.2 crore, are located in Rajkot, Raebareli, Kalyani, Bhatinda and Mangalagiri.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally dedicate to the nation five new All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
These institutions, worth an estimated Rs 6,315.2 crore, are located in Rajkot in Gujarat, Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh, Kalyani in West Bengal, Bathinda in Punjab, and Mangalagiri in Andhra Pradesh.
The five AIIMS institutes are set to have 4,030 beds and 500 medical seats, according to an official statement.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate numerous new medical colleges and advanced health facilities, including Critical Care Blocks and Integrated Public Health Labs, under the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), a central government initiative aimed at strengthening the healthcare infrastructure across the country.
PM Modi will also dedicate advanced ICMR research labs and facilities to the nation as well as various National Health Mission (NHM) projects.
All of these health projects, with a total cost of Rs 11,391.79 crore will usher in a wave of healthcare advancements and transform the country's healthcare landscape.
PM Modi laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Rewari on February 16.
