PM Modi talks to Rishi Sunak on early conclusion of the free trade agreement
In a telephone conversation today, both leaders exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest and also further reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Prime Minister Narendra spoke to his British counterpart, Rishi Sunak, on Tuesday, March 12, welcoming the progress in the ongoing discussion on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries. Both positively assessed the progress made towards the early conclusion of the mutually beneficial FTA.
In a telephone conversation today, both leaders exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest and also further reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
In an X post (formerly known as Twitter), PM Modi said, "Had a good conversation with PM @RishiSunak. We reaffirmed our commitment to further strengthen the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and work for early conclusion of a mutually beneficial Free Trade Agreement."
The two leaders also expressed their satisfaction with the progress made under the "Roadmap 2030" in diverse areas, including trade, investment, defence, security, emerging technologies, and others.
Both leaders have agreed to remain in touch and exchanged greetings on the upcoming festive occasion of Holi.
