In a tweet, PM Modi said, "On #CharteredAccountantsDay, we honour a professional community which is among our nation’s key financial architects. Their analytical acumen and steadfast commitment are crucial to strengthening our economy. Their expertise helps build a prosperous and self-reliant India."

He also pointed out how CAs have played a key role in the development of the Indian economy and their services have helped improve the financial literacy of the people. He urged CAs to continue to work with dedication and commitment to help build a strong and prosperous India.

Chartered Accountants Day (CA Day) is celebrated in India every year on July 1 to commemorate the establishment of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on July 1, 1949. ICAI is the apex body of chartered accountants in India and is responsible for regulating the accounting profession in the country.

CA Day is a day to celebrate the achievements of chartered accountants and their contribution to the Indian economy. Chartered accountants play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of businesses and organisations, and they also provide valuable advice to businesses on a range of financial matters.

CAs are qualified professionals who are trained to provide a wide range of accounting, auditing, taxation, and advisory services to businesses and individuals. They play an important role in the Indian economy by ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information, promoting good corporate governance, and providing tax compliance advice.
