Indian Railways' subsidiary IRCTC Tourism has a tour package for Ooty which starts at Rs 7870 per person in standard class. It has been named as "Ooty-Mudumalai Package". The package is for four nights and five days from Chennai. Indian Railways on its official website irctctourism.com stated, under this package tourists will be provided standard class seats in Train. IRCTC Tourism website says that the journey will commence from Chennai Central railway station by Train no: 12671, Nilagiri Express at 20:55 hrs every Thursday.
In the triple occupancy segment, tour package starts at Rs 7870 and on double occupancy, it is Rs 8345 the tariff is for children with a bed is Rs 6925. The journey from Chennai to Ooty Mudumalai will be via Train.
