With education becoming more and more career oriented, placement season has become one of the crucial factors that defines success of both the students and the institution. O P Jindal Global University (JGU) in Sonipat has done well in placement this year, with its students receiving 23 "Day Zero" offers. According to the private university, this figure is highest for any law school in India this year.

Recruiters included Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Economic Law Practice, Trilegal, Khaitan and Co., J. Sagar Associates, Lakshmikumaran and Sridharan, Karanjawala and Co., AZB Partners, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and Nishith Desai Associates,  among others, the university said in a statement. Herbert Smith Freehills, a global law firm, also offered training contract to a student of 2018 batch, the statement said.
 
O P Jindal Global University  has added over 16 new corporate recruiters to its recruiters list this year so far. The statement said Aquilaw, ARA Law, Prasoon Legal, Samvad Partners, Singh & Singh Associates, Star India, Tatva Legal, Thomson Reuters Bharucha Partners, Godha Law Chambers, Jurisperitus Law, Law Rato, Lawyers at Work, Mundkur Law Partners, among others, are the new recruiters. 

C Raj Kumar, JGU Founding Vice-Chancellor and the Dean of Jindal Global Law School, said "We expect several other domestic and global firms come to hire from our future graduating batches as several law firms have signed MoUs with our university for offering internships to our students," .
Kumar said internships have become the most preferred route for hiring law students by Indian and international law firms.  "We will continue to focus on expanding this network," Kumar added.
National Law School of India University-Bangalore, National Law University-New Delhi, Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur, NALSAR University of Law- Hyderabad, National Law University- Jodhpur, and WB National University of Juridical Sciences in Kolkata are some of the reputed law schools in India.
