Petrol price hiked by 83 paisa, diesel by 1.26 per litre
On May 1, the fuel rates were hiked by Rs 1.06 per litre on petrol and Rs 2.94 per litre on diesel.
Petrol price on Monday was hiked by 83 paise per litre and diesel by Rs 1.26 per litre. This is the second increase in rates this month, said media reports.
Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) said, from midnight, petrol in Delhi to cost Rs 63.02 per litre while diesel to cost Rs 51.67 per litre.

According to a PTI report, IOC said, "The current level of international product prices of petrol and diesel and the rupee-US Dollar exchange rate warrant increase in price of petrol and diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision".
