Petrol-Diesel Prices Today, November 3: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on Thursday, November 3. The fuel prices have remained steady for five months now. The fuel prices are revised on daily basis at 6 am every day. The revision of fuel prices is done by public sector oil marketing companies.

The last major country-wide fluctuation in fuel prices was witnessed in May, as the Centre had cut the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre on diesel.

Petrol, Diesel Latest Prices in major metropolitan Cities

As per the latest revised rates, petrol and diesel in Delhi are retailing at the price of Rs 96.72 and Rs 89.62 per litre, respectively.

People living in Mumbai are shelling out Rs 106.31 for a litre of petrol and Rs 94.27 for diesel.

Petrol is retailing at Rs 106.03 per litre and diesel at Rs 92.76 per litre in Kolkata.

Petrol costs Rs 102.63 per litre in Chennai whereas diesel Rs 94.24 per litre.

Fuel prices are revised in line with international benchmark prices and foreign exchange rates by public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs). OMCs include Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL).

Difference in local taxes like VAT and freight charges from state-to-state, affect petrol and diesel prices in different cities.
