Petrol and Diesel Price Today: The price of Petrol and Diesel remained unchanged on April 14. The fuel prices remained the same for the last 10 months. The last change in country-wide fluctuation in fuel prices was witnessed in May 2022 when the Centre cut the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and Rs 6 per litre on diesel. The Public sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) including Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) change the prices daily in line with international benchmark prices and forex rates. Any changes in petrol and diesel costs are implemented from 6 am every day. Retail petrol and diesel prices vary from state to state and various factors like freight charges, local taxes, and Value-Added Tax (VAT).

Indian Oil customers are required to type RSP on their phone and send an SMS to 9224992249, while Hindustan Petroleum customers need to type HPPRICE and send an SMS to 9222201122. Bharat Petroleum customers need to type RSP and send an SMS to 9223112222.  

CNG price  

The government has also changed the pricing formula of natural gas. Now, CNG in the national capital territory of Delhi will cost Rs 73.59 per kg, down from Rs 79.56, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) - the firm which retailed CNG and piped cooking gas in the city, said in a Twitter post.
