Pati Patni Aur Woh box office collection day 4: Kartik Aaryan has once again proved that he can deliver solo hits and justified why he is one of the most sought after actors of the current generation. His latest, Pati Patni Aur Woh, is turning out to be a money spinner for the makers and it is set to score a comfortable half-century! The film, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday in lead roles, managed a whopping Rs 9.10 crore opening on day 1 and picked up during the weekend. It maintained its run even on Monday by raking in Rs 5.70 crore to take overall collection to Rs 41.64 crore.

Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is the remake of of the 1978 film with the same name. The original Pati Patni Aur Woh was directed by BR Chopra and featured veteran actor Sanjeev Kumar along with Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur. In the new film Kartik Aaryan is playing the role of, Abhinav 'Chintu' Tyagi, the husband. While Bhumi Pednekar is playing his wife Vedika Tyagi, Ananya Panday is seen as the 'Woh' Tapasya Singh.

The new release clashed with Arjun Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt's period drama "Panipat".

However, the latter has bombed at the box office and may lead to massive losses for the film-makers. Panipat managed to earn just Rs 17.68 crore on its opening weekend. In Panipat, Arjun Kapoor plays the role of Maratha leader Sadashivrao Bhau and Sanjay Dutt plays the Afghan ruler 'Ahmad Shah Abdali'. Kriti Sanon plays Parvati Bai, the wife of Sadashivrao Bhau.
