PAN Card Status Check: You can track your 10-digit Permanent Account Number by name and date of birth at nsdl.com; here is how

PAN Card status check by name and date of birth is possible now. When a PAN card seeking person applies for it, an acknowledgement number is provided. What the person needs is to keep that number with till the PAN card is sent by the Income Tax Department. Checking PAN Card status online is possible by logging-in on the official website - NSDL.com.

After logging in, click on the check PAN Card status. This will lead to  new page which will have the url — tin.tin.nsdl.com/pantan/StatusTrack.html_bkp24052013. Here date of birth, name and acknowledgement number will need to be provided. Once this information is submitted, PAN Card Status will be displayed on the computer monitor.

4] Put your name at appropriate places for last name, middle name and first name boxes;

5] Fill your date of birth as mentioned in your PAN Card application;

6] Click at the submit button and your PAN Card status will be displayed on the computer monitor.
