On SBI online, you can pay your Indian Railways train ticket using SBI cards - Heres how to do it
SBI has also introduced various features to their debit cards and credit card holders making their Indian Railways train ticket booking easier than ever.
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has been motivating passengers to shift booking their train tickets using its online portal. The catering service provider has also enhanced its website, in order to make ticket booking easier in few clicks. Not only IRCTC, even the largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) has also introduced various features to their debit and credit card holders making their train ticket booking easier than ever. SBI also offers various rewards, waivers and cashback on the tickets. If you are planning to book your train ticket using SBI card as your payment option, then here's how you can do it at SBI Online.
Step 1 - Logon to the site of IRCTC www.irctc.co.in
Step 2 - Register yourself on the site (if first time user) or log on with Username and Password (meant for IRCTC site).
Step 3 - Provide the requisite information i.e. stations (departure & arrival), date and class of the journey under option of 'Plan My Travel and Book Ticket'.
Step 4 - Select your train from the list of trains displayed by IRCTC and click on 'Book Ticket'
Step 5 - Provide passenger details and confirm your address for getting delivery of tickets. The amount of ticket will be displayed for payment.
Step 6 - Choose payment option 'State Bank of India'. You will be taken to our site onlineSBI.
Step 7 - Log in with Username and Password (meant for onlineSBI) and confirm the payment.
Step 8 - On successful transaction, you will be provided with Transaction Id and date of transaction.
Step 9 - The ticket will be delivered by IRCTC at your place of choice. Delivery of ticket is sole responsibility of IRCTC.
For cancellation of ticket, submit your ticket at a computerized counter of Railways. On cancellation of ticket by Railways, the amount shall be credited back to your account. However, service charges @ Rs.10/- per transaction shall be levied on your train tickets.
