NSE Nifty opens flat at 7927 points; BSE Sensex up 0.22%
NSE Nifty opened flat at 7927 points on Tuesday morning. At 917 hours, the index was trading up by 0.09% or 6.80 points. BSE Sensex opened up 0.22% and was trading at 25,894.69 points at 916 hours.
Global funds bought Rs 1080 crore worth of equity shares in the Indian markets at the close of trading on Monday, Bloomberg reported.
There were 35 advances on Nifty and 12 declines with four stocks unchanged.
Top gainers on NSE Nifty were Ambuja Cement, Tata Motors, ACC, L&T and Bajaj Auto.
Top losers on NSE Nifty were Tech Mahindra, Coal India, Hero MotoCorp, Hindalco and Wipro.
