"This is to inform you that the Hon'ble Prime Minister may like to meet the members of the staff side of the National Council on 24th August 2024 at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg," according to a public disclosure.

However, the time of the meeting was not mentioned.

Meanwhile, the PM is expected to discuss about old pension scheme (OPS) and the new pension scheme (NPS) in the meeting.

Employee organisations think that employees do not get enough pensions from the National Pension Scheme (NPS). Restoring OPS will safeguard employees' futures.

However, there is no official announcement on this from the central government yet.

The central government employees have been asking to restore the old pension scheme for a long time.

Apart from OPS, salary hikes, allowances, and other facilities for the employees may also be discussed in the meeting tomorrow.
