Noise pollution fines: Now, pay penalty of up to Rs 1 lakh for violating noise rules in Delhi-check revised PENALTY by DPCC

Those found violating the norms will have to pay a penalty of up to Rs 1 lakh in the national capital. Taking stricter note of the noise pollution, the DPCC has announced an amendment in the fine amount levied for creation of noise pollution in the city.

A fine of Rs 10,000 has been announced for noise through loudspeakers/public address systems. Similarly, for sound-emitting construction equipment, this fine has been kept at Rs 50,000, and oder is also to seize the equipment.
DPCC has announced maximum fine of whooping Rs 1 lakh for diesel generator sets of over 1000 KVA.
"Delhi Pollution Control Committee revises penalty for violation of noise rules: Rs 10,000 for noise through loudspeakers/public address systems, Rs 1 Lakh for Diesel Generator sets of over 1000 KVA; Rs 50,000 for sound-emitting construction equipment. The equipment will be seized," tweeted ANI.
Also, the fine to be imposed on any individual found burning firecrackers after the stipulated time is Rs 1,000 in residential and commercial areas and Rs 3,000 in silent zones.
For noise pollution emitting out of DG sets of 65 to 1,000 KVs, the DPCC has proposed a fine of Rs 25,000.
