Noida Supertech Twin Towers Demolished: Video shows huge cloud of smog and mountain of debris – watch here!
It is further learnt that the doctors have advised that people with respiratory issues should avoid the area for a few days.
Over 100-metre-tall Supertech’s twin tower building in Noida was demolished within seconds, which created a huge smog loud and mountain of debris in the vicinity, a video posted by a news agency ANI on Twitter showed.
The nearly 100-metre-high structures - taller than Delhi's iconic Qutub Minar (73 metres) - were brought down by using 'Waterfall Implosion' technique.
Since the implosion, several videos have surfaced on the internet that show how the tough task was carried out by Team of Edifice, Jet Demolitions, CBRI and Noida officials.
In one video tweeted by ANI, the Twin Towers can be seen coming down in a matter of seconds leading to a huge debris everywhere in the surrounding area.

After the demolition, while the Edifice officials said that there is no structural damage to any nearby buildings, the debris and smog can be seen engulfing the whole area around the Twin Towers almost immediately.
The video also shows that even the parts of the adjacent Emerald Court and ATS Village societies which were relatively far from the blast and remained uncovered had thick cloud of smog covering them.
It must be noted that the dust particles could affect people’s health for the next three to four days. Therefore, especially children and the elderly people have been instructed to wear face masks.
It is further learnt that the doctors have advised that people with respiratory issues should avoid the area for a few days as most dust particles are 5 microns or less and can remain suspended in the air for a few days in the absence of favourable meteorological conditions like strong winds and rain.
