Noida Schools News, Noida Weather Today, Noida AQI Today: Schools in Noida and Greater Noida have been asked to hold online classes in view of the rising air pollution in Delhi-NCR. According to an order issued by the authority, all schools in Noida and Greater Noida will hold online classes till November 8.

According to an IANS report, Noida's air quality index (AQI) stood at 498 today under the 'severe' category with PM 2.5 concentration at 498 and the PM 10 concentration at 397.

District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) for Gautam Buddh Nagar, Dharmveer Singh, has also instructed the schools to hold classes for students in Classes 9 to 12 online as much as possible.
The order said that all outdoor activities, including sports and meetings, would remain completely prohibited in all schools.

According to data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research, the national capital's air quality on Thursday fell into the "severe" category, with the city's overall Air Quality Index (AQI) standing at 418. Similarly, Gurugram's AQI was reported at 393 under the "very poor" category, with PM 2.5 concentration at 393 and PM 10 concentration at 327 under the "very poor" category.

The severe category of air quality calls for health warnings of emergency conditions and even serious risk of respiratory effects on the general public.

For any sensitive persons, the SAFAR advises them to remain indoors and also keep indoor activities at low levels, while for asthmatic persons, the relief kit should be kept ready while the air quality continues under the severe category.

The AQI between zero and 50 is considered "good"; 51 and 100 "satisfactory"; 101 and 200 "moderate"; 201 and 300 "poor"; 301 and 400 "very poor"; and 401 and 500 "severe".

Pollution level in Delhi has been in the severe category for the last couple of days and GRAP III has kicked in banning construction activities.
