Noida home buyers protest against Today Home Ridge, Festival City builders, demand police action
In the first protest, scores of home buyers staged a demonstration against the non-completion of residential project Today Homes Ridge residency in Sector 135. The home buyers first gathered at the site of the project and raised slogans against the builder.

Angry over the delay in getting possession of their dream homes, hundreds of home buyers from two different residential projects of Noida staged a protest against the builders on Sunday afternoon. The aggrieved home buyers demanded actions against the builder’s group and pointed out that despite several assurances and various announcements nothing has changed in reality.
In the first protest, scores of home buyers staged a demonstration against the non-completion of residential project Today Homes Ridge residency in Sector 135. The home buyers first gathered at the site of the project and raised slogans against the builder. Then they marched towards the Expressway police station seeking the intervention of the police, as the builder failed to deliver flats despite long delays and plenty of assurances in the past.
“ The builder has allegedly cheated thousands of home buyers as there has been a significant delay in the completion of the project. The builder has been giving us deadline after deadline for the completion without actually handing it over to us,” said Vaibhav Maheshwari, a home buyer.

According to home buyers, the project was launched in 2009-10 and its completion was scheduled for 2013-14. Since the past three years, the construction work at the site has been stalled and there are no signs of early completion of the project, alleged the home buyers present at the protest.
“ The government is also at fault as despite several complaints no one has come to our help. We are fighting this ourselves and the builders are allegedly giving money to the officers and no action is being taken against them,” said another home buyer.
However, the police assured them that the builder would be served a notice to be present at the police station for a meeting with buyers on April 28. The second protest was by home buyers of Festival City residential project by Bhasin group in Sector 143B. The buyers were annoyed over delayed possession and no work at the construction site.
