NGK box office collection day 1: Suriya starrer NGK is off to an impressive start at the Chennai box office. The Tamil movie has met all the excitement built up ahead of the release. As per latest reports, NGK is now the third biggest opener of 2019 at Chennai box office. The other two films are Avengers: Endgame and Rajinikanth's Petta. Suriya has, however, managed to beat the day 1 collection of Thala Ajith's Viswasam. Here's what reports by trade analysts say on day 1 collections of NGK:
Chennai: Rs 1.03 crore. This is the first Suriya film which has reportedly got Rs 1 crore+ opening in Chennai.
USA Box Office: As per trade analyst Ramesh Bala, NGK has collected $84,000 at the USA Box Office.
Apart from Suriya, NGK also stars Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet. The film story revolves around on person Nandha Gopalan Kumaran (NGK) who wants to do good for the society by becoming a politician.
Viswasam had grossed Rs 88 lakh in Chennai on day 1 early this year.
Rajinikanth's 2.0 is the number 1 grosser at Chennai box office on day 1 with Rs 2.64 crore. Vijay starrer Sarkar had collected Rs 2.41 crore on Day 1. It is followed by Kaala and Mersal with Rs 1.76 crore and Rs 1.52 crore respectively.
