New Ecommerce policy to have these rules:
1) Full details about the product on the ecommerce platform will be mandatory
2) The authenticity of the product will be the responsibility of the seller
3) The seller will not be able to sell his goods without ensuring the authenticity of product
4) The information related to seller including his name, address and phone number on the platform, to be mandatory
5) Government’s Aatmanirbhar Mission to get a boost
6) Wrong or misleading information related to product to invite penalty
7) It will be easier to identify local products
8) The company will be required to give information about discounts. Policy will have rules limiting the extent of discount
9) The policy is likely to ensure that the ecommerce portals do not offer discounts
10) Annual auditing of discount will be mandatory
Existing Rules:
1) Seller cannot be forced by ecommerce platforms
2) Sellers can sell their goods at multiple platforms
3) Ecommerce platforms cannot sell products of their own companies
4) Seller will also be liable for customer satisfaction
5) Seller cannot be forced to reduce price of goods
6) Ecommerce platforms cannot discriminate between sellers
