PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the 125th year celebrations of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Welcoming PM Modi at CII Annual Session 2020, the CII President Vikram S. Kirloskar said, "CII has been dedicated to nation building. We are most privileged that Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has agreed to inaugurate the session." Kirloskar at CII Annual Session 2020 said, "CII is the only industry association with a social compact for a caring industry. CII has played an important role in the nation's development agenda". He added, "CII connects and has vast network across geographies and opens a new door for India on foreign shores. CII is the only industry association with a social compact for a caring industry. Further, Kirloskar said, "As we bring back growth, CII is committed to ensuring that it is inclusive for all sections of society. Industry will need to play a major role in this. CII has touched the lives of almost 80 lakh people during the current pandemic crisis."
