Narendra Modi address to nation: Amid India entering Unlock 2.0 from tomorrow and against the backdrop of India-China standoff, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to address the nation today at 4 PM. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) informed about PM address from its official Twitter handle late last night. This will be the sixth address of the PM to the nation after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

PMO India tweet posted on Monday said, "Prime Minister @narendramodi will address the nation at 4 PM tomorrow."

Prime Minister's address to the nation will come just one day ahead of Unlock 2.0, guidelines for which were announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) last night.

People concerned about the India-China standoff at Galwan Valley are also expecting some important announcement from the Prime Minister in his address to the nation today as the bitter standoff between Indian and Chinese troops in eastern Ladakh killed 20 Indian soldiers on June 15. In his monthly "Mann ki Baat" address on Sunday, PM Modi had asserted that India has given a befitting reply to those who cast an evil eye on its territory.

In his last address on May 12, PM Modi had announced a Rs 20-lakh-crore financial package to boost the economy, which suffered a huge setback due to coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown. So, those who have been badly affected by the pandemic are expecting some more financial relief as well.

In his first address to the nation on March 19th, PM Modi had urged the citizens to impose 'Janata Curfew' on March 22 while in his second address to the nation on March 24th, he announced a 21-day lockdown across the nation from 25th March 2020. In his April 14th address, Modi announced an extension of the lockdown period till; 3rd May 2020. In an April 3 video message, PM Modi urged the nation to light lamps for frontline corona warriors on April 5.
