Viewers seemed to agree as the film managed to collect just Rs 5.25 cr in three days of release. On Thursday, when it was first released, the film earned Rs 1.75 cr and on Friday it was Rs 2 cr.
The worst part was that on Saturday, Namaste England movie saw the business drop even lower to just Rs 1.50 cr, according to the reports. Namaste England got quite a few negative reviews and ratings to match from the critics. As compared to the first film in this series ‘Namastey London’ which was an Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer, Namaste England is going to wrap with very low figures.
Namastey London earned around 9 cr in its first weekend and that was way back in 2007. Namaste England had a competition with Ayushmann Khurranna starrer Badhaai Ho, which has collected a big sum of over Rs. 31 cr in three days of release. Both Namastey London and Namaste England were directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.
