The two wards that will be most affected because of this decision will be K East and K West.

According to the BMC, the water supply cut has been necessitated because of the various repair works being undertaken in the Powai and Veravali reservoir areas. The repair works will start at 8:30 am on November 29 and will continue till 8:30 am on November 30.

Apart from the repair work, the cross-connection of two 1800 mm pipelines is a major project. It is to be noted that 1800 mm pipelines are huge water pipelines having heavy water pressure. This is why is water supply has to be cut for the intersection.
