Mumbai Metro: Kasturi Park Metro Station to be ready first, says Delhi Metro official
Almost 18 months after the construction of three Metro corridors started in the city, the first Metro station structure to be ready in the city will be Kasturi Park Metro station on Malad Link Road that is a part of the Dahisar-DN Nagar Metro-2A corridor being constructed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

In 2016, construction work on three Metro corridors namely Dahisar-DN Nagar Metro-2A, Dahisar East- Andheri East Metro-7 and Colaba-Bandra-Seepz Metro-3 underground corridor started wherein DMRC is constructing the 18-km-long Metro-2A corridor on behalf of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) that will have 17 elevated Metro station between Dahisar and DN Nagar in Andheri.
A DMRC official involved in the construction said, “We have our priority area when it comes to construction of Metro corridor that is between Dahisar and Malad. This means the construction in this area is at more advanced stage than the rest of the alignment.”
The DMRC official, added, “The first Metro station structure that will be ready after the work started in 2016 will be Kasturi Park Metro station that will be ready before June. By structure, we do not mean the interiors of the stations but only the exteriors. Later on other amenities like the staircase, toilets, flooring, control room and station master room will be completed by year-end.”
Out of the total 17 stations, DMRC aims to complete construction on structures of at least 10 Metro stations before the end of monsoon.
