To improve convenience of the Mumbaikars, Central Railway has announced that it is setting up new Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM) at 42 suburban stations. Mumbai local train passengers would now be able to buy tickets easily and quickly with a two-step process with the installation of new Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM).
Mumbai Local trains may not be the favourite mode of travel for most passengers, but they have no choice except to take it. The reason behind this is that they have to go through a harrowing time of standing in long queues on ticket counters and thereafter, facing extreme chaos in local stations and then bearing with the rush on trains in unbearable heat and humidity. The good news for them now is that things may change fast!

Mumbai local train passengers would now be able to buy tickets easily and quickly with a two-step process with the installation of new Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM).
Central Railway (CR) will add up to 92 Automatic Ticket Vending Machines and this will facilitate providing tickets faster to millions of commuters over the Mumbai local train network.
Central Railway tweeted, "One Touch ATVM" with just two steps obtain a ticket instead of earlier six steps on a regular ATVM. -Select Fast booking One touch ATVM will show "upto station" in distance slab - Check desired station & Press single or return journey or platform to get ticket."

With this plan, the commuters will reduce the waiting time on crowded ticket counters. The new one-touch Automatic Ticket Vending Machines will help the commuters to get single or return journey tickets. Passengers can also select the desired station in the distance slab and can get the platform ticket also with a single touch.
A commuter can book a ticket with just one click on 'upto station' either for journey tickets or return trip.

1. Select Fast booking option on ATVM machine
2. Insert the fare for your journey
3. One-touch ATVM will show "upto station" in distance slab
4. Check the desired station & Press single or return journey or platform to get a ticket.
