Mumbai Rain News: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning that the next 24 hours is crucial for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad areas as the entire area has been kept in the red alert zone.

People must take a note of the fact that the IMD has warned that the next 24 hours is going to be crucial for the entire area consisting of Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad areas. This entire area has been kept under red alert. During this period, heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in the region. Due to Sunday's rain, 33 people have lost their lives in Mumbai alone.

Moderate rainfall is likely to continue in Delhi for the next 24 hours. However, intense rain is also likely at some places.

An ANI report on Tuesday has predicted light rains for several parts of the national capital. Furthermore, the weather body has predicted a drizzle for Haryana's Sonipat and Uttar Pradesh over the next two hours. IMD in a tweet mentioned, "Light intensity rain/drizzle would occur over adjoining areas of isolated places of North Delhi , North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi, Sonipat (Haryana)."

In another tweet IMD mentioned, "Light intensity rain/drizzle would occur over and adjoining areas of isolated places of North Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi,  Sonipat (Haryana). Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Amroha, Narora, Debai, Shikarpur, Pahasu, Tundla, Etah, Jalesar, Sadabad, Sikandra Rao, Hathras, Agra (U.P.) during next 2 hours."

 

Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, President, ICCR and MP Rajya Sabha tweeted, "This is #TalaoPali in Thane city!Mindless urbanisation through ‘Afforestation in Concrete’    promoted by few corrupt politicians ruling urban bodies have brought this city to such a sorry state! Sordid !Tomorrow, I hope to be able to raise #MumbaiThaneFloods in Rajya Sabha!"

 

He posted a video of Talao Pali in Thane city from his official Twitter handle and has said that he will bring up this issue of floods in Rajya Sabha.
