Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express to get luxury coach with aircraft features

Indian Railways will soon introduce a new coach, "Anubhuti luxury" range with aircraft like features, to the superfast Mumbai - Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express train.
This premium train will get two coaches in the first class AC compartment with a seating capacity of 56 passengers. These coaches will be manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) at a cost of Rs 2.84 crore.
According to IndiaTimes report, the high premium Anubhuti ("experience") range aims to target the fast-growing section of affluent passengers by providing them with sophisticated amenities similar to an aircraft.
The coach, which can be spotted in the yard of Mumbai Central of Western Railways, is expected to be added in Shatabdi train from beginning of the next year.
Anubhuti coach has seating units in 2+2 configuration with cushy interior and an artistic touch given to exterior. It provides facilities like LCD entertainment screen fitted on every seats that allows passengers to enjoy music and movies via headphones.
Mumbai - Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express covers about 492 kilometers of distance at 130 kilometer per hour having an average speed of 78 kilometer per hour. Between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, this train has a travel time of 6 hours 20 minutes and halts at seven stations.
