The lockdown has been extended until 3rd May 2020 because of which the assessment of Maharashtra Class 10 and 12 Board exam papers will be further delayed.

As per some media reports, the Maharashtra Education Department has said that there are no means by which teachers can be sent for evaluation work, because of which the assessment of Maharashtra Board SSC and HSC exam papers can be resumed only after the lockdown is lifted.

The transport services in the state of Maharashtra were suspended on 23rd March 2020 and lockdown is been strictly followed in the state because of which all the process has been put on hold.

However, the Maharashtra Education Department had then issued a circular allowing the teachers to carry the Class 10 and 12 Board exam papers home for evaluation process but with no transportation in place, none of the teachers could actually carry the Maharashtra SSC and HSC exam papers home.

The Education Department then announced the evaluation work would be resumed on 14th April after the lockdown ended. However, with the extension of the lockdown, the Maharashtra Board Class 10 and 12 evaluation work is further stalled.
