Movies, web series releasing in India in October 2020: As we eagerly wait for the government to make a decision around the re-opening of theatres in India, OTT platforms remain the only option for entertainment right now. So, if all other things remain constant, October is likely to be a big month with several big names set to make their digital debut. Meanwhile, the usual names will continue to release their new offerings. Here are five movies and web series that you should keep an eye on in October 2020:

The film has been in news ever since its trailer dropped. Khaali Peeli marks the digital debut of Ishan Khattar. The movie also stars Ananya Pandey in key role while, Jaideep Alhawat plays a don. The film also marks the entry of Zee Plex into the streaming world.  

Release Date – October 2, 2020. 

Taish 

Starring Pulkit Samrat, Jim Sarbh, Harshvardhan Rane and Kriti Kharbanda in lead roles, Taish will follow a unique strategy for release. Directed by Bejoy Nambiar, Taish will be released on OTT platforms as a feature film as well as 6-episode series simultaneously.  

Release Date – October 29, 2020. 

Mirzapur Season 2 

After months of speculations and rumors, the new season of Mirzapur has finally been announced. The new season will answer what happened to Ali Fazal’s Bablu Bhaiya, the fate of Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi) and his son Munna Bhaiya (Divyendu Sharma).

Serious Men 

The man who has ruled India’s OTT scene with some amazing performances, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be back with his new film – Serious Men. Directed by Sudhir Mishra, the film shows Siddiqui making a master plan to earn a quick buck, only for it to backfire. 

Release Date - October 2, 2020 

Nishabdham  

With a stellar star cast, Nishabdham is also set to release online this Friday. The film stars Anushka Shetty and R Madhavan. The plot revolves around a haunted house in which a world-renowned cello player is found dead.
