Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the government is motivated to further simplify policies in easy of doing business in the country. Speaking at the Gujarat Investor Summit during Vibrant Gujarat event in Gandhinagar, he said the his government is strongly committed to continuing economic reforms.

PM Modi announced that India targets 75 gigawatts clean energy output.

He said, “India is moving towards implementation of historic initiatives. India is seen as the engine of global growth.”

He emphasized for the need for a digital economy and said that India is on the threshold of becoming the most digitised economy. He said that India is shifting from informal economy to formal economy and that there is also a shift from favoritism to level playing field.

PM Modi said, “My government is looking to curb nepotism and corruption,”

Making a pitch to investors he said that India's rising middle class offers a huge domestic market. He further added that he has initiated healthy competition among Indian states.

“It's possible to give quick results in democracy too,” he added.

He further said that India's foreign direct investment (FDI) sectors and sources have diversified over 2 years.
