Monsoon Rains Weather Update: Several regions across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and the national capital received heavy rains on Wednesday, July 24, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) – the country’s weather office - issuing rainfall alerts and other warnings for the next few days. Umerpada in Surat district and Visavadar in Junagadh district in Gujarat, Pali in Lalitpur district in Uttar Pradesh, and Lonavala in Maharashtra received up to 300 mm of rainfall in 24 hours till the early hours on Wednesday, according to the weather agency.

Rainfall of 180-200 mm was recorded in Jharbandh in Bargarh district of Odisha and Dheemarkheda in Katni district of East Madhya Pradesh.
