Monsoon Rains Weather News: Several regions across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and the national capital experienced heavy rains on July 24, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue rainfall alerts and warnings. Umerpada in Surat and Visavadar in Junagadh, Pali in Lalitpur, and Lonavala in Maharashtra received up to 300 mm of rainfall within 24 hours. Other regions recorded 180-200 mm. Alerts include heavy rainfall warnings for Madhya Pradesh for five days, an orange alert for Pune, and yellow alerts for Delhi. Gujarats Saurashtra and Kutch regions have orange warnings from July 26-28 for very heavy rainfall.

Umerpada in Surat district and Visavadar in Junagadh district in Gujarat, Pali in Lalitpur district in Uttar Pradesh, and Lonavala in Maharashtra received up to 300 mm of rainfall in 24 hours till the early hours on Wednesday, according to the weather agency.
Rainfall of 180-200 mm was recorded in Jharbandh in Bargarh district of Odisha and Dheemarkheda in Katni district of East Madhya Pradesh.
Heavy rains force Delhi Traffic Police to issue diversions advisory
In Gujarat, the weather agency issued an orange warning for Saurashtra and Kutch regions from July 26 to July 28, predicting the likelihood of 'very heavy rainfall' (115.6-204.4 mm).
