New Narendra Modi Cabinet 2019: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took oath on Thursday along with a new council of ministers at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. A number of ministers from the first term of Modi-led NDA government have returned, while some have been replaced. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had requested not to join due to health reasons. The Rashtrapati Bhavan released the list of new ministers in Modi government today. Ahead of swearing-in, Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi on Thursday met the NDA's newly elected MPs who took the oath of office and secrecy with him later in the day. The ministers also met Modi for high tea at his official residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, at 4.30 p.m. Amit Shah has become the new Home Minister, while Nirmala Sitharaman has become the finance minister.
