Film Trade analyst, Sumit Kadel told Zee Business Online, ''Mission Mangal is India's first space technology based movie. Both the trailers of film have fetched a wonderful response so far, people are eager to watch this patriotic movie from Akshay Kumar and the national holiday may help it earn Rs 25 to Rs 30 crore on opening day. The movie has created a buzz among audience, while the actual earnings will depend on the content it possesses.''

Written by Jagan Shakti, Mission Mangal narrates the story of a scientist at ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) who contribute to the Mars Orbiter Mission which marked India’s first Interplanetary expedition. The story describes the planning, gathering, unity, obstacles, failure, and success of the team that was running the Mission Mangal. So far, the movie has received an amazing response from audience after the launch of its trailer. 

''The movie is expected to get released on 2800 to 3,000 screens in India. Overall, on the extended opening weekend, it is expected to earn around Rs 60- Rs 70 crore."

Mission Mangal is directed & co-produced by Jagan Shakti and produced by Cape of Good Films and Fox Star Studios under its own production banner.
