Ministry of Power recruitment 2018: Apply for these posts; check for eligibility criteria and pay scale

Ministry of Power has invited applications for the posts of Members (Grid Operation & Distribution), Member (Hydro) and Member (Planning) in the Central Electricity Authority, on deputation/ short-term contract basis.

The recruitment to the post of Member in the Central Electricity Authority would be made in accordance with the provisions contained in Section 70 of the Electricity Act, 2003 read with the Central Electricity Authority Rules 2005, as relaxed by DoPT for Members only.

Ministry of Power recruitment 2018: Pay Scale
The recruited candidates for the post of Members in the Central Electricity Authority would get a pay scale of Rs 67000- Rs 79000 with ex-officio status of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.

Ministry of Power recruitment 2018: Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the post of Members of the Authority must have knowledge of and adequate experience and capacity in, dealing with problems relating to engineering, finance, commerce, economics or industrial matters and at least one member shall be appointed from each of the following categories:
a. engineering with specialisation in design, construction, and operation and maintenance of generating stations;
b. engineering with specialisation in transmission and supply of electricity;
c. applied research in the field of electricity

Candidates applying for the post must not be above 58 years
