Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers issues Quality Control Order for 8 types of chemicals used in cosmetic and paint industry| Check full list

Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has issued a Quality Control Order for 8 types of chemicals on April 28, 2022. Here is the list of those 8 types of chemicals:-

• 1,3-Phenylenediamine
• Lauric Acid
• Acid Oil
• Palm Fatty Acid
• Rice Bran Fatty Acid
• Coconut Fatty Acid
• Rubber seed Fatty Acids
• Hydrogenated Rice Bran Fatty Acids

All chemicals are used in the cosmetic and paint industry. According to the issued notification, it will be mandatory after 6 months. Besides, the department has also made the BIS certificate mandatory. There has been a new provision of a fine in case one fails in fulfilling the conditions.
