Market live: Sensex drops by 400 pts; Nifty ends at 10,030, Yes Bank loses its shine drops by 9%

Asian shares wobbled in early Friday trade, struggling to shake off the previous day`s global markets rout, after weak results from tech giants Alphabet Inc and Amazon.com heightened concerns over world trade and economic growth. The shaky start for regional bourses came despite a bounce on Wall Street overnight, which was helped by bargain-hunting and positive earnings from Microsoft Corp. Those gains were put into perspective, however, as shares of both Amazon.com Inc and Alphabet Inc fell sharply after the closing bell on disappointing earnings, according to a Reuters report.

BSE Sensex today plunged by 297.40 points, or 0.88 per cent, to 33,392.69. The index has lost 344 points on Thursday.  The NSE Nifty also declined by 101.45 points, or 1 per cent, to 10,023.45  in early trade today.

Sensex, Nifty endes in Red today.

BSE Sensex closes at 33,349.31 drops by 340.78 points or 1.01%, whereas Nifty 50 closes at 10,030 slips by 94.90 points or 0.94%.

Yes Bank loses its shine closed at Rs 181.25 per piece drops by 8.62%; losers list extended with Axis Bank at Rs 535 low by 4.46%, IndusInd Bank at Rs 1445.10 low by 3.14%, TCS at Rs 1799.60 low by 2.86% and Kotak Bank closed at Rs 1155.80 down by 2.76%.

Top 5 gainers on BSE Sensex were Tata Motors closed at Rs 168.85 jumps by 2.09%, Reliance at Rs 1044.70 up by 1.41%, Bajaj Auto at Rs 2505.55 up by 1.13%, Bharti Airtel Rs 299 up by 1.06% and Tata Steel at Rs 551.10 high by 0.83%.

16:00 PM: S&P BSE Oil & Gas Index ended low at 12930.87 low by 54.72 points or 0.42% where the worst performers were ONGC closed at Rs 151.85 per piece low by 2.47%, IGL at Rs 249.65 low by 1.62%, IOC at Rs 137.10 low by 1.15%, Hind Petrol at Rs 224.55 down by 0.84% and Castrol India at Rs 145.25 dips by 0.79%.

15:00 PM: With just few minutes left for market hours to close, Sensex drops over 300 pts; ITC shares have droped nearly 3% after announcing its result for Q2FY19, currently it is trading at Rs 281.25 per piece low by Rs 6 or 2.09% at around 1508 hrs. Despite clocking 12% growth in Q2FY19 PAT, ITC posted a net profit of Rs 2,954.67 crore which was up by 4.82% from Rs 2,818.68 crore in the corresponding period of previous year. Q2FY19 net profit however surged by much higher growth rate by 11.93% as against Rs 2,639.84 crore in the preceding quarter.
On the other hand, ITC's revenue from operation was at Rs 11,272.51 crore higher by 3.66% compared to Rs 10,874.5 crore a year ago same period. Also it was up by 15.45% from Rs 9,763.92 crore in Q1FY19.
