Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: Pawan Hans is offering a special helicopter ride at the much-anticipated Kumbh Mela, set to begin on January 13. Under this special arrangement, the PSU will provide helicopter rides starting at Rs 1,296.
Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: State-run Pawan Hans is offering a special helicopter ride service at the 2025 edition of the mega Maha Kumbh Mela, scheduled to take place from January 13 to February 26. As part of the service, visitors will be able to enjoy a helicopter joyride at Rs 1,296. This special helicopter ride will be operated for a duration of 7-8 minutes.
Pawan Hans is a Miniratna public sector undertaking (PSU).
Here are five things to know about this special helicopter ride at the Maha Kumbh Mela:
- The joyride, operated by Pawan Hans, will be available at Rs 1,296 per person. This marks a significant reduction from a previously set fee of Rs 3,000 per person.
- Uttar Pradesh Minister of Tourism Jaiveer Singh said that each helicopter ride will last about 7-8 minutes.
- The helicopter ride will enable passengers to get an aerial view at the grand festival, according to the minister.
- Where to book? Bookings for this special helicopter ride will be available online on the portal www.upstdc.co.in.
- The availability of the service will be subject to demand and weather conditions.
Other major attractions at the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela
Additionally, the UP government has also made arrangements related to water sports- and adventure sports-related activities at the Maha Kumbh festival.
A special drone show will be organised from January 24 to January 26.
Other attractions at the festival include a water laser show.
Several eminent artists are also scheduled to perform at the Maha Kumbh Mela, including singers Shankar Mahadevan and Mohit Chauhan.
Mahadevan is set to inaugurate the ‘Ganga pandal’ area at the event, whereas Chauhan will be performing on February 24.
