The meeting will be rescheduled soon, according to sources who spoke to Zee Business.

Committee Chairman and Congress MP KC Venugopal had already arrived when Buch requested an exemption due to urgent work.

Meanwhile, the main opposition walked out of Parliament.

Originally, Buch was scheduled to appear before the Public Accounts Committee at 11 am.

This follows a senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member's accusations of political motivations influencing the panel's chairman.

As the BJP and its allies hold a majority in the Public Accounts Committee, they're poised to strongly oppose any issues raised by opposition members deemed outside the committee's scope.
