The commercial services of Lucknow Metro have been flagged off by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in September 2017.
Statistics about the LMRC's passengers and trips mentioned in the statement:
-According to LMRC statement, around 60,000 passengers travel via Lucknow metro daily.
-Lucknow metro takes 331 trips everyday
-The trips of Lucknow metro run at the North-South corridor from Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) airport to Munshipulia
-Since 6 September 2017,the officially starting day of services, Lucknow Metro trains completed 1,83,561 trips till 25th June 2019, a total of 19,76,580 kilometers
According to PTI report, the LMRC thanked and gave the credits to the people of Lucknow for this achievement to adopt Eco-friendly transport system for their transportation and making a way towards greener and cleaner city. In a recent report, it is showed that Lucknow metro helped to reduce the air pollution in the city.
